Mindfulness and the Law

CLE - Mindfulness and the Law

Joint CLE program presented by the Chicago Bar Association (CBA) and the Philadelphia Bar Association

The Philadelphia Bar Association is continuing the Mindfulness Series that was initiated in 2016 by the Business Law Section. The first offering of 2017 is a collaborative program between the Chicago Bar Association and the Philadelphia Bar Association for this unique opportunity to explore the practice of mindfulness and how it can benefit your practice and your life.

As lawyers, we have constant client demands and hours to bill. Technology makes us available anytime, anywhere. The practice of mindfulness offers a variety of ways to reduce the stress and anxiety we feel on a daily basis. It increases focus by increasing self-knowledge and self-awareness which leads to self-regulation.

Learn what mindfulness is and how it can help you become a better lawyer. As they cover the why, what, and how, speakers will provide tips to incorporate mindfulness into your day to increase productivity in your professional life and improve your relationships.

Panelists will also provide fundamental tools for effective practice of mindfulness that enhances attention skills, listening skills, reflective capacity, empathy, emotional regulation and ultimately, decision-making.

Allow mindfulness to be an everyday tool to enable better focus in your practice of law and bring greater enjoyment to your work environment.
