Ethics of Pro Bono Representation and the Naturalization Process

CLE - Ethics of Pro Bono Representation & Naturalization

#TakeActionPhilly CLE Program

In a time where immigration law faces many uncertainties, naturalization is the best defense to deportation. This CLE course will focus on the ethics of Pro Bono representation and an overview of the Naturalization Process.

The critical components of this naturalization training include benefits of citizenship, basic eligibility requirements, red flag issues, N-400 form preparation and follow-up, and fee waiver assessment and preparation.

Experienced immigration attorneys will offer practical instruction regarding:

  • Communications with clients
  • Competence
  • Candor towards the tribunal
  • Appropriate termination of representation

This timely CLE program will provide guidance to attorneys to assist clients in completing the naturalization process, as well as allow attendees to earn one of their annual ethics credits.

After the CLE concludes, stay for a brief 20 minute overview of the pre-screening process.
