Hosted by the Legal Rights of Persons with Disabilities Committee

Individuals with disabilities face discrimination on a daily basis especially when seeking and enjoying their housing. This CLE course will provide an overview of the rights of persons with disabilities under the Fair Housing Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and examine the duties of housing providers under the Federal law. The course will outline defenses to discrimination claims and explore the area of reasonable accommodations.

Topics to be covered include:

  • Addressing issues facing persons with mental disabilities
  • Handling assistance animal cases
  • Best practices in handling reasonable accommodations

Join the Legal Rights of Disability Committee and learn how to better advocate for affordable housing for your clients with disabilities.
