Albert S. Dandridge, III Business Law Section Diversity Award

Each year, the Business Law Section presents an individual or organization with the Albert S. Dandridge, III Diversity Award. Award recipients must be nominated by a member of the Business Law Section.
The award was named for Albert S. Dandridge, III, a former Business Law Section Chair and 2013 Vice Chancellor of the Philadelphia Bar Association, was a key driving force behind the drafting, adoption, and implementation of the Business Law Section’s Diversity Plan.
Mr. Dandridge is a senior partner at the law firm of Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP and chair of the firm's Securities Practice Group and Chief Diversity Officer. Mr. Dandridge served the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) as associate director of small business and international corporate finance in the SEC's Division of Corporation Finance. Mr. Dandridge is a decorated Vietnam Combat Veteran with the U.S. Marine Corp. and was awarded, among many honors, the Bronze Star with Combat "V" for Valor and the Purple Heart.
Purpose of Award
The award is to publicly acknowledge, recognize and honor an individual or entity that (i) has demonstrated a strong commitment, and has made a substantial contribution in the Philadelphia area, to diversity; and (ii) promotes full and equal participation and inclusion in the legal profession. The award is accompanied by a donation, made on the recipient’s behalf to an entity that embodies the Business Law Section’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
