Judge Urges Attendance at VIP Title CLE June 25
Dear Probate and Trust Section colleagues:
I write to urge you to support Philadelphia VIP's efforts to assist low income clients with title issues by participating in their June 25 training at White and Williams LLP from 12 to 2:15 p.m. I will be there to welcome all of you who attend. There are more than 14,000 potential clients who live in homes in their deceased relatives' names who need legal assistance and cannot afford it.
Without legal assistance, these clients cannot enter into payment agreements for delinquent real estate taxes or obtain free repair services from the City of Philadelphia, and therefore they face losing or abandoning their homes. Your colleague Kevin Gilboy and VIP staff attorney Kelly Gastley will be teaching this seminar. Also, you receive 2 hours of free CLE for taking a case, and lunch will be provided.
In this critical economic time, I know that it is even more difficult to ask you to give free legal services. But this is the time when I also ask you to remember that as professionals we have an obligation to help those who need our services more than ever.
I look forward to seeing you there.
Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas Judge Anne Lazarus
From VIP: Attorneys receive 2 free CLE credits if they accept a VIP case within 6 months of the training. Please contact Philadelphia VIP at (215) 523-9550 or email@example.com
(including your full name and contact information), to reserve your space. White and Williams LLP is located at 1650 Market St., One Liberty Place, 18th Floor.
