Free Legal Help for Small Business Owners Nov. 29
Volunteer Philadelphia lawyers will offer free legal advice and provide answers to tough legal questions for minority small business owners in Philadelphia at a free public service breakfast on Thursday, Nov. 29 from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Philadelphia Bar Association in the Aramark Tower, 1101 Market St., 11th Floor Conference Center.
The event, "The Legal Edge: What You Need to Know About the Law to Ensure the Success of Your Small Business," is sponsored by the 13,000-member Philadelphia Bar Association. Co-sponsors include the African American Chamber of Commerce, Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia, Global Indian Chamber of Commerce, Minority Business Enterprise Council, Urban League of Philadelphia, Inc., Hispanic Bar Association of Pennsylvania, and the Barristers' Association of Philadelphia.
A panel of lawyers will speak on everyday issues faced by minority small business owners, including employment, workers' compensation, zoning, contracts, taxes, and compliance with city regulations.
