Stout Center For Criminal Justice Cancels Matters to Be Heard Aug. 5
As a result of an incident on Aug. 4 involving two employee elevators in the Stout Center For Criminal Justice, the Administrative Governing Board of the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania will be following the City of Philadelphia's recommendation and has ordered the cancellation of any matters scheduled to be heard in the Stout Center on Friday, Aug. 5, 2016, with the following exceptions; Preliminary arraignments, bail acceptance operations and emergency protection from abuse services. Anyone in need of these specific services may still report to the basement of the Stout Center for Criminal Justice.
All jurors already seated for a trial that is already in progress, as well as any witness, victim or defendant involved in any trial or matter already in progress should report to the Stout Center on Monday, Aug. 8, 2016 unless otherwise notified.
All prospective jurors, witnesses, victims and defendants notified to appear for a trial or matter on Friday, Aug. 5, 2016 should not come to the Stout Center for Criminal Justice, and should wait to be notified by the Court as to when they will be required to appear.
Anyone having received a juror notice or subpoena of any type to appear in a matter being held in Philadelphia City Hall - are still required to appear as scheduled. Cancellations for Friday, Aug. 5, 2016 are only for the Stout Center for Criminal Justice.
