Brown, Silver Receive Wachovia Fidelity Award
Stephen D. Brown, a partner at Dechert LLP, and Samuel W. Silver, a partner at Schnader Harrison Segal & Lewis LLP, were honored with the Association's Wachovia Fidelity Award at the Dec. 5 Annual Meeting Luncheon at the Park Hyatt Philadelphia.
The Wachovia Fidelity Award is presented annually by the Association to individuals who have helped improve the administration of justice and exhibited faithfulness to the profession.
Brown and Silver have been co-coordinators of the Prisoner Civil Rights Panel for the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania since 1993.
Brown is currently the chair of Dechert's Prisoner Civil Rights Pro Bono Practice Group, which he created more than a decade ago. Brown was presented in 2003 with Dechert's Samuel E. Klein Pro Bono Award, which is awarded annually to the firm's lawyers who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to pro bono legal services.
Silver, chair of Schnader's Litigation Department, received the firm's Earl G. Harrison Award in 2000 for his distinguished record of public service.
