Philadelphia Bar Association Historical Society Launches "Chancellors of the Philadelphia Bar Association" Highlights Video
The Philadelphia Bar Association Historical Society unveiled on Sept. 22 a "highlights" video of interviews with past Chancellors of the Association as part of its 2010 Chancellors' video project. The highlights video, which was unveiled at a reception held at Jenkins Law Library and also shown at the Association's 2010 Bench-Bar & Annual Conference in Atlantic City from Oct. 15-16, was produced in partnership with Temple University's School of Communications and Theater under the leadership of Temple's Senior Vice Provost for Strategic Initiatives and Communications Betsy Leebron Tutelman. The video features the reflections of 32 past Chancellors as well as Kenneth Shear, Executive Director of the Association for 35 years. Click here

Individual high-definition interviews with each of the Chancellors and the executive director will be featured on the new Philadelphia Bar Association Historical Society website, launching in 2011. The website will also feature an interactive historical timeline of Philadelphia lawyer milestones that will be scalable to include the contributions of diverse segments of the bar, as well as a new, permanent gallery for the Association's Legends of the Bar. The Historical Society was first announced by Chancellor Scott F. Cooper in his December 2009 inaugural address. The Historical Society is chaired by William P. Fedullo, past chair of the Association's Commission on Judicial Selection and Retention; Robert C. Heim, past Chancellor (1991); and Roberta D. Liebenberg, 2008 recipient of the Association's Sandra Day O'Connor Award.
