YLD Seeks Volunteers for Mock Trial Camp Oct. 22
PHILADELPHIAMock Trial Camp is a collaboration between Temple University Beasley School of Law and the Young Lawyers Division of the Philadelphia Bar Association. The purpose of the Camp is to provide Philadelphia area high school students participating in the statewide Mock Trial competition an opportunity to learn trial skills from the area's leading litigation attorneys. This year, the Camp is taking place on Saturday, Oct. 22nd from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. at Temple, and we expect approximately 100 students to participate. The participation of members of the Bar is crucial to making this learning experience work. It will be up to the members of the Bar to critique and advise the high school students on their methods and advocacy skills. Approximately 40 lawyers are needed to volunteer on Oct. 22. Students will be broken into small groups, allowing the one-on-one attention that is so important. If you have any questions or are interested in signing-up to be a volunteer, please contact Roberta West or Eleanora Jones. Please be sure to mention your volunteer avilability: all day, morning, or afternoon.
