Civil Rights Committee

Communication: We hope to have better communication with our members during the coming year through several means: an enhanced web page at the Bar Association; meeting announcements by mail; "face to face" discussions at our "better publicized" monthly meetings; and e-mail.

Recruitment: It's time for new blood. Many of us joined the Civil Rights Committee years ago. We brought fresh commitment, and a relatively uncluttered personal agenda. The commitment is still there, but the agendas have become complicated. It's time to recruit fresh faces. All of us know at least one young attorney who has a special interest in some area of civil rights, and a willingness to get involved. Is there any better place for a young attorney to engage that interest than the Philadelphia Bar Association? Please give that special person some encouragement to attend our meetings, or drop us an e-mail and we'll do the job.

Interested in joining? Committee membership is free when you are a paid member of the Public Interest Section. E-mail Andrea Morris-Tracey, Manager of Member Services to apply.
