Important News Regarding
Bar Association's Professional
Liability Insurance Program

The Philadelphia Bar Association has launched a new and much-improved Lawyers' Professional Liability Insurance program through CNA, which will replace the previous carrier Westport/Swiss-Re upon your policy renewal. The Association made this decision after an exhaustive review of the program financials, and Westport's request to increase the program base rates for the fourth consecutive year. We also utilized market information provided by our exclusively endorsed insurance broker and program administrator, USI Affinity.

Please be aware that Westport has brought in an out-of-state agent to market and sell their Professional Liability program in Philadelphia. You may have already received unsolicited emails and calls from them telling you that if your firm is currently insured with Westport, they will be handling your renewal. Do not be misled by this.

USI Affinity remains the sole endorsed broker of the Philadelphia Bar Association, and the exclusive administrator of all our insurance programs. If you are currently insured through the program, USI Affinity will be handling your renewal and the transition of your firm to the new Association's Lawyers' Professional Liability Insurance program with CNA. If you are not currently insured through the Philadelphia Bar Association program, or have any questions about the Professional Liability Program transition, we urge you to call USI Affinity toll free at 855-874-0270 (Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) and ask to speak with a Philadelphia lawyers coverage specialist.

The CNA program provides you not only valuable coverage features but also reduced pricing for all Philadelphia Bar Association members. We are confident that you will find the new professional liability offering to be a great value, and a tremendous member benefit.
