Get Admitted to U.S. Supreme Court on May 4

Philadelphia Bar Association Chancellor Hon. A. Michael Snyder (Ret.) will move the admission of up to 25 members to the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States on Monday, May 4. The admission ceremony will occur before the full Supreme Court sitting in Washington, D.C.

Deadline to register is Friday, Feb. 28 at 5 p.m.

Admission Form

Once you have successfully completed the admission form, please mail it with a check made payable to the Philadelphia Bar Association. The cost to attend the ceremony is $240 for members of the Philadelphia Bar Association and includes your application fee and a continental breakfast. Per the Supreme Court's rule, each applicant is permitted to bring only one guest. A guest is an additional $40. Please remit payment to: Attn: Dawn Petit, Philadelphia Bar Association, 1101 Market Street, 11th Floor, Philadelphia, PA 19107. Do not send the application directly to the Supreme Court.

Philadelphia VIP Landlord-Tenant Petition to Vacate Clinic and Training, March 11

On Wednesday, March 11, Philadelphia VIP will hold its Landlord-Tenant Petition to Vacate Clinic and Training, from 5–7:15 p.m., at Blank Rome LLP, One Logan Square, 130 N. 18th St., Philadelphia. Learn how to draft and file a petition to vacate, then meet with clients to draft petitions on-site. After the clinic, participating attorneys will contact opposing counsel and e-file petitions and proposed orders when they are signed off. Thomas R. Kline School of Law Public Interest Experience Auction, March 12

On Thursday, March 12, the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law will host the Public Interest Experience Auction, from 6–9 p.m., at the Thomas R. Kline Institute of Trial Advocacy, at 12th and Chestnut Streets, Philadelphia. Each year, the PIE Auction is held for students who take unpaid summer jobs in public interest organizations. This year will feature karaoke, PIE-ing a professor and change drive, March Madness bracket sales, and a 50/50 raffle, in addition to the live and silent auction.
