  • July 28, 2020 - All Philadelphia civil jury trials scheduled through January 4, 2021 are postponed and will be rescheduled, non-jury trials scheduled after September 6 will be heard using remote technology. See notice.
  • July 21, 2020 – President Judge Fox has issued an order regarding continuation of the stay in certain mortgage foreclosure and landlord tenant matters related to dispossession of property.

The Bridge the Gap program, for a newly admitted or reinstated attorney, mandated by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania Continuing Legal Education Board, is intended to provide all newly-admitted PA attorneys the "know-how," which is otherwise learned through trial and error. The Consortium of the Greater Philadelphia Area Law Schools (GPALS) invite you to participate in the 2020 GPALS Philadelphia Resume Collection. The GPALS Philadelphia Resume Collection is entirely free to all employers!

For over 25 years, this program has provided employers with the truly unique opportunity to interview law students from The University of Pennsylvania, Temple University Beasley School of Law, Villanova University's Charles Widger School of Law, Rutgers Law School, Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law, Penn State Dickinson School of Law, Widener University Delaware School of Law, Penn State Law University Park and Widener University Commonwealth School of Law. That’s nine schools in one program!

The GPALS Philadelphia Resume Collection is an efficient method of recruiting a superior group of law students who are truly focused on your specific practice and geographic location. We publicize your opportunity and then provide applications of interested students to you. You pre-screen the applications and select only the students that you wish to interview. We then provide you with an interview schedule of your selected students. The interviews will be conducted using your virtual platform (e.g., webex, zoom, etc.) on Friday, September 25th. If September 25th is not convenient for you, we ask that you make arrangements to interview students within five days of the 25th.

Mindful Mondays Presented by the Wellness Committee

Monday, August 10 at 8 a.m.

The Wellness Committee is here for you during this period of great uncertainty and invites you to start your week off with a short, guided mindfulness meditation. There are a number of ways in which mindfulness can be beneficial, especially given the challenges we are currently facing during the Covid-19 pandemic, such as the reduction of stress, anxiety and depression. The sessions will be held via Zoom and led by Courtney Schulnick, Esquire, who has completed both the Mindfulness Based Stress-Reduction (MBSR) teaching practicum and internship at Jefferson University’s Mindfulness Institute. The Pennsylvania Supreme Court issued an order temporarily modifying Rule 108 of the Pennsylvania Rules of Continuing Legal Education to eliminate the six credit cap on CLE credits earned through distance learning with respect to credits needed to satisfy all 2020 compliance deadlines.
